Cross Disciplinary Research
The EERC connects faculty with:
- federal grant programs that feature integrated engineering research and education components
- federal programs investigate problems along the science, technology, engineering, mathmatics (STEM) pipline
- WSU engineering faculty seeking research answers to improve student recruitment, retention, and classroom learning
- WSU education faculty seeking research answers to guide preparation of pre-service teachers to use engineering applications that enhance pupil learning of STEM subjects
- In-service teachers seeking research-proven materials and methods to enhance student learning and interest in STEM topics
Faculty Development
The EERC strengthens faculty skills by:
- mentoring faculty desiring to enter engineering education research by preparing them for successful proposal writing and scholarship that leads to career advancement.
- training engineering doctoral students and engineering faculty in effective teaching and assessment that support success in academic postions
